The Role
Working within the Retail Business, the Current Account, Savings & Investments Associate will play a key role in supporting the running of this business, a critical component for the delivery of the Retail Banking strategy. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated and will thrive in a challenging work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and implement initiatives contributing to the continuous improvement of processes & procedures relating to Current Account, Savings & Investments.
  • Maintain and develop comprehensive knowledge and information of all Financial service and related products and conduct regular competitor analysis in relation to product, pricing, services and offerings.
  • Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives and keep stakeholders up to date with relevant industry offerings.
  • Ability to process and interpret data with confidence in presenting output.
  • Monitor pricing and funding costs ensuring budgets are in line with KBC annual planning cycle.
  • Monitor the product sales and financial performance ensuring the product is in line with APC targets.
  • Responsibility for various initiatives and reporting such as retentions initiatives and reporting, exceptions reporting and rate change execution & delivery.
  • New Product Development – engage with NPD team to create/enhance innovative customer centric products from proposal through to launch ensuring internal NAPP processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure a knowledge of and adherence to all relevant Compliance Codes and Central Bank of Ireland requirements across Current Account, Savings & Investments.
  • Effectively complete core business activities relating to rate changes & changes to managing documentation (including Terms and Conditions)
  • Take an active role in various Current Account, Savings & Investments projects as they arise.
  • Contribute as an active member of the broader Retail Products Team.
  • Knowledge, Education & Experience:
  • The successful candidate will typically have 3 years’ experience within a similar environment.
  • Relevant third level qualification or professional equivalent.
  • QFA qualified or progressing towards same and committed to further continuous development.


  • Essential Skills & Abilities:
  • Data management and processing of data important - strong technical ability in Excel/ VBA or other information processing tools
  • Good understanding of investment markets and experience in deposit sales
  • Strong management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with experience in dealing with a wide range of people in a business environment
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills and excellent writing ability
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to create new ideas and identify new opportunities
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative
